Sharad Pawar Discharged From Hospital After Chest Infection Treatment
Sharad Pawar discharged from Pune hospital after chest infection treatment, advised 3-4 days rest.
NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar was discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic on Saturday afternoon after receiving treatment for a chest infection. The 85-year-old Rajya Sabha member will rest at his Pune residence for three to four days before resuming his routine work, his daughter and NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule confirmed.
Pawar had been admitted earlier this week from his residence in Baramati, Pune district, after experiencing difficulty in breathing and a persistent cough. Hospital sources said his condition improved steadily under medical supervision, leading to his discharge.
Dr Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist at Ruby Hall Clinic, stated that Pawar was in good health and had recovered well. The medical team recommended a short rest period before he gradually returns to public engagements and daily responsibilities.

Expressing gratitude, Sule noted that Pawar thanked doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for their care. Pawar, who is an oral cancer survivor, also expressed appreciation for the well-wishes he received from colleagues and citizens across Maharashtra.
Vitthal Maniyar, a close aide of Pawar, added that the NCP chief would complete his medication course and may travel to Mumbai afterwards. Pawar’s recovery comes shortly after the tragic air crash that claimed his nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on January 28.
With his health stabilised, Pawar is expected to return to active political work soon, and party sources confirmed that his brief rest will not impact NCP’s ongoing organisational activities in the state.
