SBI opens applications for 7,680 Junior Associate vacancies in 2026.

The State Bank of India (SBI) will close the registration window for its Clerk Recruitment 2026 today, August 31, for 7,680 Junior Associate posts. Eligible candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can apply through the bank’s official recruitment portal before the deadline. The recruitment process will include a preliminary examination in September 2026 followed by the main examination in November.

Candidates applying for the Junior Associate posts must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Applicants must also meet the prescribed age criteria, with the recruitment notification specifying that candidates should be above 20 years and below 28 years of age as on April 1, 2026.

The recruitment drive covers a total of 7,680 Junior Associate vacancies across SBI. Candidates who successfully complete the application process will be considered for the selection stages prescribed by the bank. The preliminary examination is scheduled to be conducted in September, while candidates qualifying for the next stage will appear for the main examination in November 2026.

To apply, candidates need to visit the official SBI website and access the Careers section. They should select the Junior Associate recruitment link, complete the registration process and enter the required personal, educational and other details. Applicants must then pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment options and submit the completed application form before the deadline.

After submitting the form, candidates should download and retain the confirmation page and a copy of the application for future reference. SBI has clarified that candidates do not need to send a printed copy of the application form to the bank. Applicants should also carefully verify the information entered before final submission, as changes may not be permitted after the application is completed.

With the registration window closing on August 31, eligible graduates who intend to participate in the recruitment drive should complete their applications within the stipulated time. Candidates should rely on the official SBI recruitment information for details regarding examination schedules, eligibility requirements, fees and subsequent stages of the selection process.
