Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his official residence, Nandanvan, in Mumbai, to personally invite him to the wedding ceremony of his son, Arjun Tendulkar. The courtesy visit formed part of the Tendulkar family’s preparations ahead of the upcoming marriage celebrations.

Tendulkar was accompanied by his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, during the meeting with the deputy chief minister. According to officials, the interaction was cordial and extended beyond the formal invitation, with both sides discussing a range of matters. Sports development and related issues reportedly featured prominently in the conversation.

A day earlier, the former India captain and Anjali had also met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to invite him to the wedding of Arjun Tendulkar with Saaniya Chandhok. The back-to-back meetings indicate the family’s outreach to senior state leaders ahead of the ceremony.
