India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has sought the intervention of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami after facing difficulties in purchasing land in his home state. Pant raised the issue through a social media post while participating in India’s three-day practice match in Colombo ahead of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
The 28-year-old cricketer said he wanted to purchase land in Uttarakhand and shift his base from Delhi back to his home state. Pant, who was born in Uttarakhand, indicated that he had been attempting to complete the land acquisition for an extended period. However, his efforts had reportedly failed to produce a result despite continuing for nearly three years.
Pant shared his appeal on X, formerly known as Twitter, at approximately 12.46 am on Saturday. In the post, he directly requested assistance from Chief Minister Dhami and described the prolonged process as a difficult experience. His public appeal brought wider attention to the land-related obstacles he claimed to have encountered in Uttarakhand.
