Revanth Reddy Announces Telangana’s Growing Space Tech Ambitions
Telangana strengthens its space-tech ecosystem, Revanth Reddy notes.
Telangana is emerging as a space technology hub by encouraging startups and innovation, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Sunday as he greeted scientists, engineers and technical experts on National Space Day. He acknowledged the contribution of professionals whose scientific achievements have strengthened India's position in the global space sector. The Chief Minister also encouraged young people to pursue innovation and take up opportunities in space technology.
Reddy recalled India's achievement with Chandrayaan-3, which demonstrated the country's scientific and technological capabilities through its landing in the lunar South Pole region. He credited the success to years of research, dedication and sustained efforts by scientists, engineers and other technical personnel. The Chief Minister extended his greetings to everyone involved in India's space programme and recognised their contribution to the country's achievements.
The Telangana government has been focusing on creating opportunities for startups and innovation as part of the state's technology ecosystem. Reddy urged young people to dream ambitiously and work with determination to turn their ideas into reality. He emphasised the importance of science and innovation for the future and encouraged the youth to view the space sector as an area with significant potential for technological development.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Science and Technology Minister Pawan Kalyan also extended greetings to scientists and technical professionals on National Space Day. He highlighted India's achievements through missions including Chandrayaan-3, Aditya-L1 and the SpaDeX docking demonstrations. Kalyan described these milestones as part of India's expanding capabilities in space exploration and technology.
Kalyan also pointed to the growing role of private companies, startups, researchers and young innovators in India's space ecosystem. He noted that reforms and institutions such as IN-SPACe have created greater opportunities for private-sector participation. He also referred to future programmes including Gaganyaan, India's planned human spaceflight mission, and the Bharatiya Antariksh Station under the country's longer-term space ambitions.
The National Space Day messages from the two leaders come as India's space programme continues to expand beyond traditional government-led missions. With greater participation from startups and private industry, states such as Telangana are seeking to strengthen their role in the emerging space technology ecosystem. Reddy's emphasis on innovation and youth participation reflects the growing focus on developing talent and entrepreneurship alongside India's broader space ambitions.
