RBI Young Professionals 2026: Apply For 12 Posts With Rs 1.5 Lakh Stipend

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the recruitment of Young Professionals (YPs) for various departments at its Central Office in Mumbai, offering a fixed monthly stipend of Rs 1.5 lakh. The central bank has opened applications for 12 positions across emerging and specialized fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Quantum Technology, Data Analysis, Financial Markets, Climate Risk, and Policy Research. Interested candidates can submit their applications until July 6, 2026.
According to the official notification, the engagement will initially be for a period of three years. Based on an individual's performance and organizational requirements, the tenure may be extended up to a maximum of five years. The recruitment drive is aimed at attracting talented professionals with expertise in high-demand sectors that are increasingly important to the financial and regulatory landscape.
Candidates applying for the positions must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of July 6, 2026. The selected professionals will be posted in Mumbai and will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs 1,50,000. The RBI has stated that the positions are contractual in nature and are intended to strengthen research, technology, and policy-related functions within the institution.

The application process requires candidates to submit their documents through email. Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and prepare a single PDF document containing their curriculum vitae, academic certificates and transcripts, statement of interest, a sample of academic or policy writing, and a recommendation or reference letter. The completed application package must be sent to the designated RBI email address before the deadline.
Candidates applying for more than one position must submit separate applications for each post. The RBI has instructed applicants to use the prescribed email subject format mentioning the post code and candidate name. Additionally, the total size of the email attachment should not exceed 5 MB to ensure successful submission of the application.
The selection process will involve multiple stages, including preliminary screening and shortlisting by a screening committee, verification of documents, and a personal interview. Interview call letters will be communicated only through email. Final selection will depend on the candidate's performance during the recruitment process and successful verification of eligibility and supporting documents.
