Punjabi Folk Orchestra and Qalandri Dhamal to perform at Bharat Parv 2026 closing at Red Fort tomorrow.
New Delhi will witness a vibrant celebration of Punjabi culture as the Punjabi Folk Orchestra and Qalandri Dhamal take the stage at Bharat Parv 2026 tomorrow at the historic Red Fort. The performances aim to showcase the rich musical and spiritual heritage of Punjab through folk instruments and devotional dance.
The Punjabi Folk Orchestra is a unique ensemble featuring traditional instruments such as Dhol, Dholki, Taal-Koze, Tansari, Flute, Nagara, Chimta, Sap, Kara, and Vanjli. The orchestra blends rhythmic, melodic, and percussive elements into a structured performance, preserving authentic folk melodies while presenting them harmoniously.
Adding a spiritual dimension, Qalandri Dhamal, a traditional Sufi folk dance from Sindh and Punjab, will also be performed. The dance expresses love and devotion to God and Sufi saints, especially associated with Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan Sharif, creating a meditative and vibrant spectacle for festival-goers.
