Just a few hours ago, the Ferozepur Police’s CASO (Cordon and Search Operation) team, under the leadership of SHO Mallanwala Gurpreet Singh, intercepted a vehicle at Khosa Dal Singh Wala, uncovering a staggering 8 kilograms of heroin.
The operation led to the arrest of Akash, a resident of Gowalmandi in Amritsar, dealing a major setback to the region’s drug networks.
The seizure, announced on Sunday, underscores Punjab Police’s relentless campaign to dismantle drug cartels plaguing the state.
An FIR has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with investigations now in full swing to trace the supply chain and identify accomplices. The haul, valued at crores in the illicit market, marks a critical win in the fight against narcotics.
