Punjab Board Announces 2026 Exam Schedule for Class 10 and 12 Students

The Punjab School Education Board releases the 2026 exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 students statewide.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) officially released the date sheet for Class 8, Class 10, and Class 12 board examinations for the 2026-27 academic year on December 30, 2025. Students and parents can now access and download the complete timetable from the official PSEB website at pseb.ac.in. The schedule covers both regular and open school candidates, with Class 10 and Class 12 examinations (including Open School) scheduled in the morning shift from 11:00 AM to 2:15 PM. The release comes as students gear up for the crucial board exams, allowing ample time for preparation and revision.

Class 8 and Class 12 examinations are set to begin on February 17, 2026, while Class 10 exams will commence on March 6, 2026. The staggered start dates reflect the board's strategy to manage logistical requirements and ensure smooth conduct across examination centers in Punjab. The timetable includes a wide range of subjects for each class, with specific dates allocated for core subjects as well as optional and vocational courses. Students are advised to carefully note the dates for their respective streams and elective subjects to avoid any last-minute confusion.

For Class 10, the exam schedule kicks off with Social Science on March 6, 2026, followed by Singing Music on March 7, Punjabi-A and History & Culture of Punjab-A on March 9, and English on March 11. Key subjects continue with science on March 16, mathematics on March 24, and computer science on March 27. Additional papers include Agriculture (March 12), Hindi/Urdu (March 13), Sanskrit/Urdu/German/French/NSQF (March 17), Mechanical Drawing & Painting (March 18), Punjabi-B and History & Culture of Punjab-B (March 19), and Home Science (March 30). The timetable also features specialized exams such as Cutting & Sewing (March 10) and Physical Education (March 17, 11 AM–1:15 PM).

The Class 12 timetable, starting February 17, includes a mix of compulsory and elective subjects spread across multiple weeks, with detailed subject-wise dates available on the PSEB portal. Students appearing for vocational, open school, and supplementary exams should refer to the official notification for any specific instructions or changes. The board has emphasized strict adherence to exam timings, reporting guidelines, and COVID-appropriate protocols (if applicable) to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.

As the academic year progresses, PSEB has urged students to regularly check the official website for any updates, admit card releases, center allotments, and practical examination schedules. The early announcement of the date sheet provides students with a clear roadmap for focused preparation in the coming months. With the 2026 board exams marking a significant milestone for Class 10 and 12 students, the release of the timetable is an important step toward ensuring transparency and preparedness across Punjab's educational landscape.
