PM Modi’s Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat Visit Packed With Mega Project Launches

PM Modi’s Karnataka, Telangana and Gujarat visit combines infrastructure launches with spiritual and cultural engagements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a two-day visit to Karnataka, Telangana and Gujarat on May 10 and 11, participating in a series of infrastructure inaugurations, cultural programmes and public events across the three states. During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore in Hyderabad, attend the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living Foundation in Bengaluru, and participate in the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav in Gujarat.

In Bengaluru, Modi will attend the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living at the Art of Living International Centre on Sunday morning. He is expected to inaugurate the newly constructed Dhyan Mandir, a meditation hall aimed at promoting inner peace and holistic well-being. The Prime Minister will also launch a series of nationwide service initiatives focused on mental wellness, rural development, environmental conservation and social transformation. Organisers said the programmes are intended to expand community outreach and encourage public participation in social welfare initiatives.

The Hyderabad leg of the visit will focus on major infrastructure and industrial development projects. Modi will inaugurate, dedicate and lay foundation stones for projects collectively valued at around Rs 9,400 crore. Among them is the four-laning project of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor, estimated to cost over Rs 3,175 crore. The highway project is expected to improve connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka while reducing travel time by nearly 90 minutes.

In addition, Modi will launch the PM MITRA Park at Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 1,700 crore under the government’s “Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign” vision aimed at boosting India’s textile sector and exports.

During his visit to Hyderabad, Modi will also dedicate the Indian Oil Malkapur Terminal Project, developed at a cost exceeding Rs 600 crore, along with Sindhu Hospital, a cancer-focused multi-super speciality quaternary care not-for-profit institution. Officials said the hospital is expected to strengthen access to advanced cancer treatment and specialised healthcare services in the region.

On Sunday night, the Prime Minister will travel to Jamnagar before proceeding to the Somnath Temple on May 11 to participate in the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of the restored shrine. During the event, he will release a commemorative stamp and coin marking the occasion.
