PM Modi to Release PM Kisan 22nd Installment Today From Guwahati, Assam

PM Modi releases PM Kisan's 22nd instalment today, transferring Rs 2,000 to eligible farmers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme today, March 13, at 5 PM from Guwahati, Assam. This scheme, implemented by the Government of India, provides direct financial assistance to landholding farmers, aiming to improve their economic stability and support agricultural activities. Each eligible farmer family receives Rs 2,000 per instalment, with three instalments disbursed each year, totalling Rs 6,000 annually.

So far, 21 instalments have been successfully released under the scheme, benefiting millions of farmers across India. The 22nd instalment is expected to follow the same pattern, with payments credited directly to the bank accounts of farmers who have completed their KYC formalities and submitted all necessary documents. The government has emphasized that only those with verified bank account details and updated documents will receive the payment, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Farmers can check the status of their PM-Kisan payment through the official PM-Kisan portal. By entering their Aadhaar number, account number, or registered mobile number, beneficiaries can track the instalment and confirm its transfer to their account. Additionally, local agricultural offices and banks are also equipped to assist farmers in verifying their payment status and resolving any related issues.

About the PM-Kisan Scheme:
Launched in 2019, PM-Kisan is a central sector scheme that aims to provide regular income support to small and marginal farmers in India. The scheme ensures that funds are transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, removing intermediaries and reducing delays. By providing timely financial assistance, the scheme helps farmers meet essential expenses, including seeds, fertilisers, irrigation, and household needs, thereby contributing to overall rural development and agricultural productivity.

The scheme has been widely appreciated for its role in strengthening farmer welfare, especially in regions facing crop failures or financial stress. Government reports indicate that millions of farmers have benefited from PM-Kisan since its inception, with the scheme also contributing to increased financial inclusion by encouraging farmers to maintain active bank accounts.

With the 22nd instalment, the government continues its commitment to supporting India’s farming community, particularly small and marginal farmers, who form the backbone of the country’s agricultural sector. Farmers and stakeholders are encouraged to stay informed about instalment dates, payment verification procedures, and eligibility requirements to ensure seamless receipt of benefits.

This instalment release is part of the broader effort by the Indian government to provide continuous financial relief and support to farmers, reinforcing the objective of sustainable agricultural growth and economic stability in rural India.
