PM Modi to Hold Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 Session with Assam Students on Brahmaputra Cruise

PM Modi to interact with 25 Assam students aboard Brahmaputra cruise for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with 25 selected students from Assam on December 21 under the Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 initiative. The 40-minute session will take place aboard the tourism cruise vessel MV Charaidew on the Brahmaputra River in Guwahati. The interaction is scheduled to begin around 8 am and will focus on examinations, career goals, and mental well-being.

Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual initiative aimed at reducing exam-related stress among students while encouraging open dialogue on academics and life skills. During the session, students will have the opportunity to directly engage with the Prime Minister and seek guidance on managing pressure and maintaining a balanced approach to learning. The programme also promotes confidence-building and positive thinking.

The participating students have been selected from districts including Kamrup Metropolitan, Dibrugarh, Cachar, Kokrajhar, Karbi Anglong, Nalbari, and Dima Hasao, among others. They represent a diverse range of institutions such as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Kendriya Vidyalayas, PM Shri schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and state-run and private schools.

Following the student interaction, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Shaheed Smarak at Boragaon in Guwahati. The memorial, recently inaugurated, honours over 800 martyrs of the Assam agitation. Later in the day, he will travel to Namrup to lay the foundation stone for the Assam Valley Fertilizer project, a key industrial initiative for the region.

Officials said the fertilizer project has received land approval and is expected to be completed within three to four years. After the Namrup visit, the Prime Minister will proceed to Dibrugarh before returning to New Delhi. The visit highlights a blend of student engagement, tribute to history, and development-focused initiatives.

Registrations for PPC 2026 are currently open for students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, and will close on January 11, 2026. Participants can register through the official portal or the MyGov platform, where an MCQ-based competition will shortlist questions for the main programme scheduled in January 2026. So far, over 1.54 crore participants have registered nationwide, reflecting the initiative’s growing reach and impact.
