December 26 is observed as Veer Bal Diwas, commemorating the martyrdom of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh. On the same day, President Murmu conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on young achievers from across the country, recognising exceptional talent and courage.
Earlier in the week, President Murmu hosted multiple events at Rashtrapati Bhavan, including the release of the Indian Constitution in the Santhali language. Prime Minister Modi later praised the initiative, describing it as a meaningful step toward enhancing constitutional awareness among Santhali-speaking communities.
