Prime Minister condoles deaths and prays for injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Gujarat’s Vadodara district, where a luxury bus collided with a parked truck, killing seven people and injuring 28 others. The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.

The accident occurred at around 4 a.m. near Kotambi village on the Vadodara-Jarod road. According to preliminary information, a luxury bus travelling from Banswara in Rajasthan to Surat rammed into the rear of a truck that had been parked along the roadside. Authorities said the truck driver was reportedly checking the vehicle’s tyre pressure when the collision took place.

The impact of the crash severely damaged the front section of the bus, trapping several passengers inside the wreckage. Local residents and passing motorists rushed to the scene and alerted emergency services, while also assisting in the initial rescue efforts. Most of the passengers travelling on the bus were reported to be residents of Rajasthan.

The injured were subsequently shifted to Sir Sayajirao General Hospital and other healthcare facilities in Vadodara for treatment.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed condolences, describing the accident as extremely tragic and stating that the local administration was ensuring medical assistance and support for the injured victims.

Officials said 28 people sustained injuries in the collision, with at least two reported to be in critical condition. The death toll currently stands at seven, though authorities continue to monitor the situation. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident and whether any lapses contributed to the fatal crash.
