Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Kite Festival-2026 at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on Monday, where he was joined by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Following the formal inauguration, the two leaders took a ride in an open vehicle along the ground, engaging with participants and visitors. They later tried their hands at flying kites, adding a lively and symbolic touch to the diplomatic visit.
