"Gen Z Unaware of His Struggles": Pawan Kalyan Backs PM Modi Amid Online Trolling

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday strongly defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his leadership and resilience amid criticism. Addressing a public gathering after the inauguration of the ₹5,700-crore Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram near Visakhapatnam, Kalyan said younger generations were unaware of the struggles faced by the Prime Minister and argued that greater public service often attracts greater criticism.

Referring to recent protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over the alleged examination paper leak and demands for the resignation of former Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Kalyan claimed that abusive remarks directed at the Prime Minister had deeply affected him. "The more you work, the more you get criticised... what does the new generation know? The struggles he went through," Kalyan said, adding that PM Modi was moved by the criticism and continued to serve the country despite facing opposition from multiple quarters.

Highlighting the Prime Minister's leadership, Kalyan said Modi had not taken a single day's leave while balancing domestic development and national security responsibilities. He asserted that the Prime Minister was confronting external challenges as well as internal opposition while working to advance India's development. According to Kalyan, no other leader in the country currently matches PM Modi's leadership, crediting him with driving infrastructure development and attracting significant investments, including projects benefiting Andhra Pradesh.

The Jana Sena leader also linked the inauguration of the Bhogapuram airport to the Centre's support for Andhra Pradesh, describing the project as an outcome of backing Prime Minister Modi and the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena. He said the airport symbolised the benefits of cooperation between the state and the Centre and reflected the alliance's development agenda for north Andhra.

During his address, Kalyan urged parents to guide children below the age of 25 with the right values and discourage abusive public discourse. He praised PM Modi's response to criticism, saying the Prime Minister had shown restraint and forgiveness despite facing personal attacks. Reiterating his support, Kalyan said Modi should continue as Prime Minister for as long as he wishes and pledged that his party would continue working towards that objective.
