Patel Engineering wins ₹240 crore NHPC contract for key hydropower works at Teesta-V project in Sikkim.

In a major infrastructure boost, Patel Engineering has secured a ₹240 crore contract from state-run NHPC for critical civil and hydro-mechanical works at the Teesta-V hydropower project in Sikkim.

The project, located in the South District of Sikkim, involves converting an existing diversion tunnel into a tunnel spillway – a key component of Package 6 of the Teesta-V power station. The work is slated for completion within 18 months.

Patel Engineering, a Mumbai-headquartered infrastructure firm with a strong presence in the hydropower and tunneling sectors, emphasized its deep-rooted experience in the North Eastern region as a strategic advantage for executing the project efficiently.
