Odisha SAMS PG Admission 2026: Phase 2 Choice Locking Now Open

Odisha SAMS PG Phase 2 choice locking opens; check key dates.

The Phase 2 admission process for Odisha SAMS postgraduate programmes has begun, providing eligible candidates another opportunity to participate in the 2026 admission cycle. The online Common Application Form for the second phase opened on September 12 at 4 pm, allowing applicants to submit fresh course and college preferences through the official Student Academic Management System portal.

Candidates participating in Phase 2 must submit and lock their choices within the prescribed deadline. The choice-locking facility will remain open until September 21 at 11:45 pm. Applicants are advised to review their selected preferences carefully before final submission, as the locked choices will be considered during the subsequent seat-allotment process.

The first round of provisional seat allotment under Phase 2 is scheduled to be announced on September 24 at 4 pm. Candidates who receive an allotment will then be required to complete the next stages of the admission process, including reporting to the allotted institution and paying the applicable admission fees within the specified timeline.

The Phase 2 process is intended for eligible applicants who either did not secure admission during the earlier phase or wish to participate in the additional round of postgraduate admissions. Candidates must ensure that their application details, academic information and preference selections are accurate before locking their choices on the SAMS portal.

After the provisional allotment is released, selected candidates will have to follow the reporting and fee-payment instructions issued by the authorities. Failure to complete the required formalities within the given window may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat or exclusion from the next stage of the admission process.

Applicants are advised to regularly check the official Odisha SAMS portal for updates regarding seat allotment, reporting schedules, fee payment and any subsequent waitlist or vacancy admissions. The key dates are crucial for candidates seeking admission through the Phase 2 postgraduate counselling process for the 2026 academic session.
