Nitin Nabin Highlights Sant Ravidas’ Ideals And PM Modi’s Vision For Viksit Bharat

BJP links Sant Ravidas’ ideals with its Viksit Bharat vision.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday said the party is committed to achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, drawing inspiration from the ideals of Sant Ravidas and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the country. He made the remarks at the Mati Kalash Vandan and Distribution Programme at Talkatora Stadium, organised under the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas.

Nabin said the campaign aims to take Sant Ravidas’ message of social harmony, equality and selfless action to people across the country. He linked these principles with the BJP’s broader vision of social development and said the teachings of saints and other prominent figures have contributed to India’s cultural and social traditions. The programme is part of a wider series of activities planned during the birth anniversary year of Sant Ravidas.

The BJP president also highlighted welfare measures implemented under the Modi government, stating that development schemes have been reaching poor and disadvantaged sections of society. He claimed that 25 crore people have been brought out of poverty and linked the government’s approach with the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas”. Nabin also described Prime Minister Modi’s leadership as reflecting a commitment to public service without personal expectations.

Referring to Sant Ravidas’ historical influence, Nabin said the saint’s teachings and social reform efforts played an important role in preserving Indian society and traditions during periods of foreign invasions and social upheaval. He said the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan was being launched with the objective of carrying forward these ideals. The BJP plans to continue activities linked to the campaign throughout the anniversary year.

According to the BJP, the birth anniversary year will continue until February next year and will feature several programmes across the country. These will include events honouring saints and initiatives aimed at encouraging people to adopt their teachings and values in society. The party has positioned the campaign around social harmony and the promotion of ideals associated with Sant Ravidas.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP president and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, BJP national vice president and programme coordinator Lal Singh Arya, Scheduled Caste Morcha national president Shivesh Kumar Ram and senior leader Dushyant Gautam were among those present at the Talkatora Stadium programme. Nabin reiterated that the BJP’s political and development agenda remains linked to its stated objective of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047 while drawing on the social values associated with Sant Ravidas.
