Ahead of the theory exams, practical examinations are currently being conducted. These began on March 17 and will conclude on April 1, 2026. According to the schedule released on March 25, most theory exams will be held in a single shift during the afternoon session, generally from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The board has also instructed candidates to reach examination centres well in advance and carry all necessary documents, including their hall tickets.
The examination cycle will span nearly a month, with the final theory paper scheduled for May 6, 2026. The extended timeline allows students adequate gaps between major subjects, enabling better preparation and revision. The date sheet includes a wide range of subjects from academic streams to vocational disciplines, reflecting the flexibility offered by the NIOS system.
Students should also regularly monitor the official website for any updates, guidelines, or changes related to the examination process. With the schedule now released, candidates are encouraged to finalise their study plans, focus on revision, and adhere to a disciplined preparation strategy to perform well in the upcoming board examinations.
