NIA Raids Multiple Kashmir Houses in Terror Conspiracy Probe

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out multiple raids across the Kashmir Valley in connection with ongoing terror conspiracy cases. According to official sources, the searches were conducted simultaneously at six locations in different districts early in the morning.

NIA teams, accompanied by personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), launched coordinated operations with heightened security deployment around the targeted sites. The searches aimed to gather evidence related to terror networks and logistical support systems operating in the region.

Sources said that residential premises were searched in Srinagar, Bandipore, and Baramulla districts. In north Kashmir’s Sopore area, the NIA carried out searches at four locations, including Bomai, Rafiabad, and Model Town Sopore, focusing on suspected terror-linked individuals and facilitators.

Officials stated that the raids are part of a broader investigation into terror financing, recruitment, and support activities in the Valley. However, it was not immediately clear whether any arrests or detentions were made during the searches, and further details are awaited from the agency.

The NIA is currently probing several high-profile terror-related cases in Jammu and Kashmir, including terror financing networks, the recent Delhi blast case, and the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Since taking over major cases in 2018, the agency has been credited with dismantling key separatist political and terror-support structures in the region.

Security agencies said the ongoing operations reflect continued efforts to disrupt terror infrastructure and prevent future attacks, underscoring the NIA’s central role in counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
