Naidu Calls For Continuous Public Service Asks RTGS To Operate Round-The-Clock

Naidu directs RTGS teams for uninterrupted public service delivery.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to ensure that the state's Real-Time Governance (RTG) Centres function round the clock to provide prompt responses to citizens' grievances and emergencies. Stressing the importance of efficient governance, Naidu said political leadership and bureaucratic action must work in tandem to deliver development and improve public services across the state.

The Chief Minister issued the directions while reviewing the functioning of the Real-Time Governance Centre at the State Secretariat after returning to Amaravati from a five-day district tour. During the review meeting, he emphasised that timely responses are essential to effective public service delivery and instructed officials to strengthen mechanisms for addressing complaints and emergency situations without delay.

To improve coordination during crises, Naidu proposed the formation of regular multi-department coordination meetings under the leadership of the Chief Secretary. He said stronger collaboration among government departments would enable quicker decision-making and more effective responses during emergencies. According to the Chief Minister, seamless communication between agencies is crucial for ensuring that citizens receive timely assistance when required.

Referring to the recent fishing boat mishap off the Visakhapatnam coast, in which several fishermen went missing, Naidu said the incident underscored the need for swift inter-departmental coordination. He noted that the effectiveness of the government's response during such emergencies depends largely on how efficiently various departments work together. The Chief Minister urged officials to draw lessons from the incident and strengthen emergency response systems to minimise delays in rescue and relief operations.

Naidu also reviewed the state's governance initiatives and highlighted the use of artificial intelligence to assess citizen satisfaction. He said the government is using AI-based methodologies in Chittoor district to measure public feedback, while field visits by officials continue to play an important role in understanding people's concerns directly. He emphasised that combining technology with on-ground engagement would help the administration make better policy decisions and improve service delivery.

The Chief Minister further instructed officials to prioritise the disposal of pending applications under the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS). He called for a comprehensive action plan to clear pending grievances across departments and directed district collectors and senior officials to take personal responsibility for ensuring measurable outcomes. Naidu said efficient grievance redressal and a responsive Real-Time Governance system would be key to strengthening public trust in the administration and delivering transparent, citizen-centric governance.
