Nagaland Man Orders 150 Pizzas For NEET Protesters at Jantar Mantar

A gesture of solidarity from Nagaland has drawn widespread attention on social media amid the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET paper leak. An Instagram user identified as Zha-Lhou (@adiespoems) arranged for 150 Domino's Cheese Burst pizzas to be delivered to protesting students in the national capital, with the order costing ₹67,734.18. Images of the food delivery and the bill quickly went viral, with many users praising the act of support for students participating in the demonstration.

According to screenshots shared online, the order was placed on July 22 at around 4:30 p.m. and included a mix of Korean Sweet Chilli Cheese Burst pizzas with extra cheese and Farmhouse Cheese Burst pizzas. The bill showed an item total of ₹64,650, along with ₹3,227.28 towards GST and packaging charges. After applying a ₹200 discount coupon, the final payment amounted to ₹67,734.18.

In a social media post, Zha-Lhou said he was unable to travel from Nagaland to Delhi but wanted to support the students in whatever way he could. He wrote that while thousands of students were away from home protesting for what they believed was a fairer education system, sending food was the least he could do. He also revealed that when the delivery executive asked who should receive the pizzas, he instructed them to hand the food to anyone who had not eaten.

The supporter clarified that the post was not intended to seek appreciation but to encourage others to contribute in their own way if they wished. He later shared through Instagram Stories that he had also arranged biscuits worth ₹5,000 for the students on July 24, extending his support beyond the initial pizza delivery. The combined value of the food assistance totalled more than ₹72,000, prompting widespread discussion online.

The incident comes as student demonstrations continue at Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET paper leak and demands for greater accountability and examination reforms. Protesters have been receiving assistance from supporters across different parts of the country, with contributions ranging from food and drinking water to other essential supplies for those participating in the demonstrations.

Photos of the large food delivery and the accompanying bill have been widely shared across social media platforms, where the gesture has generated significant public attention. While reactions online have varied, the episode has highlighted how individuals from distant parts of the country are expressing support for causes they believe in through voluntary contributions during the ongoing protests.
