Mysterious Delight on Hanuman Jayanti! Hanuman Idol Appears in U.P.'s Sultanpur

Mysterious Hanuman Idol Unearthed on Hanuman Jayanti Sparks Temple Plans in Sultanpur

On the auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanti, a remarkable discovery in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur district captivated devotees: an ancient Lord Hanuman statue mysteriously surfaced during a routine excavation in Phulpur village, Kurebhar.

The five-foot sandstone idol, uncovered while digging a bathroom pit at Suresh Pandey’s home, drew hundreds of worshippers, igniting spiritual fervor and prompting plans for a new temple.

The find occurred when workers, using a JCB, struck something solid underground. Careful digging revealed the exquisitely carved statue of Bajrangbali, its emergence coinciding eerily with the festival celebrating Hanuman’s birth. “It felt divine, like Bajrangbali chose this day to reveal himself,” a local devotee remarked.

News spread rapidly, and crowds flocked for darshan, transforming the quiet village into a pilgrimage hub.

Kurebhar police chief Shardendu Dubey arrived swiftly with his team, ensuring order and personally cleaning the idol with reverence. Bajrang Dal members Gaurav Pandey and Pranjal Singh also visited, joining locals in marveling at the statue’s pristine condition. Suresh Pandey, the homeowner, declared, “This is a sacred sign. I will build a temple here to honor Bajrangbali.”

The idol’s origin remains shrouded in mystery, with no clues about its age or how it came to be buried. As devotees continue to throng the site, the proposed temple promises to enshrine this enigmatic discovery, cementing Phulpur as a new beacon of devotion.
