Muzaffarnagar School Horror: Student Suicide Triggers Action Against Staff!

Police book JK Academy Inter College staff for abetment of suicide after a Class 12 student’s death.

In a deeply troubling incident, the principal, vice principal, and coordinator of JK Academy Inter College in Durganpur village, Muzaffarnagar, have been charged with abetment of suicide following the death of a Class 12 student. The case, registered under the Budhana police station, names Principal Rahul, Vice Principal Dilshad, and Coordinator Sanni as accused, based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Vedpal, a resident of Haryakhedi village.

According to the complaint, Vedpal’s 16-year-old son, Bhim, died by suicide on the night of August 6, 2025, by hanging himself at their home. The father alleges that Bhim was physically assaulted by college staff earlier that day and had been subjected to ongoing harassment. This alleged mistreatment and humiliation, Vedpal claims, pushed his son to take the extreme step, leaving the family devastated.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about student welfare and institutional accountability. Station House Officer Anand Dev Mishra confirmed the case was lodged, and investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to Bhim’s tragic death. The case underscores the urgent need for measures to protect students from harassment and ensure a safe educational environment.
