MPSOS Starts Registration For Ruk Jana Nahi Exam Scheme 2026

Second chance for MP Board students to improve results.

The Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board (MPSOS) has started the registration process for the ‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ (RJN) Exam Scheme 2026, providing a fresh opportunity for Class 10 and Class 12 students who were unable to clear their board examinations. Eligible candidates can submit their applications until June 20, 2026, through the MP Online portal. The initiative aims to ensure that students do not lose an academic year due to unsuccessful examination results.

The ‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ scheme has been introduced to support students who failed in one or more subjects and wish to continue their education without interruption. Under the programme, candidates are allowed to reappear only in the subjects they could not pass, while marks obtained in subjects already cleared will remain valid. This approach is intended to reduce academic pressure and offer students a practical pathway to improve their performance.

According to the eligibility criteria, the scheme is open to students registered with the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education who failed in the Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations conducted during February and March 2026. Students who were absent from the examinations and those who did not qualify in the second-chance examinations held in April and May 2026 are also eligible to apply for the June session.

The examinations will be conducted by MPSOS, Bhopal, following the same syllabus prescribed for regular Madhya Pradesh Board students. Education officials have stated that the scheme is designed to provide an additional opportunity without requiring students to repeat the entire academic year. The School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh also shared details of the programme on social media, encouraging students not to lose confidence after unsuccessful results.

Authorities have further announced that students who are unable to clear the June 2026 examination session will receive another opportunity through a December 2026 session, subject to fresh registration. This provision is expected to benefit a large number of students seeking to complete their secondary and higher secondary education requirements.

Speaking about the initiative, Madhya Pradesh School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh said the scheme is intended to motivate students and prevent them from becoming discouraged by examination setbacks. Education experts have often highlighted such supplementary examination programmes as important measures for reducing dropout rates and helping students remain connected to the formal education system while working towards improved academic outcomes.
