Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday invited domestic and international textile companies to invest in the state, highlighting its investor-friendly policies, affordable electricity, and industrial incentives. Addressing textile industry leaders at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a promising destination for textile and garment sector investments.
Speaking at a roundtable meeting with leading textile investors, industry representatives, and global brands at Bharat Mandapam, Yadav said the state government has fulfilled its commitments to industries. He stated that pending subsidy payments to industries across sectors had been transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, with outstanding dues cleared up to May 2026.
The Chief Minister invited investors to establish manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh, saying the state offers the infrastructure and resources required for industrial growth. He highlighted the availability of low-cost electricity as one of the key advantages for businesses and added that the state has also expanded its green energy capacity through solar power and pumped-storage projects.

Yadav also spoke about the upcoming PM MITRA Park in Dhar district, describing it as a major opportunity for the textile sector. The integrated textile park, being developed under the Centre’s PM MITRA initiative, is expected to create around three lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities while benefiting more than six lakh cotton farmers in the Malwa-Nimar region.
The Chief Minister said the PM MITRA Park would establish a complete textile ecosystem, connecting cotton cultivation, textile production, garment manufacturing, and access to global markets. He added that Madhya Pradesh is ready to collaborate with the central government and international brands to strengthen India’s position in the global textile industry.
Yadav also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s long-standing textile heritage, mentioning internationally recognised traditions such as Maheshwari and Chanderi textiles. He said the sector continues to contribute to the state’s economy by creating jobs and promoting value addition. During the event, he also held individual meetings with investors and industry representatives to discuss investment opportunities in the state’s textile and apparel sector.
