MP CM Announces Ratri Chaupal In Kukru On Two-Day Betul Tour

CM reviews schemes during Betul visit.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is scheduled to undertake a two-day visit to Kukru in Betul district starting Saturday, during which he will engage directly with residents, review welfare schemes, and participate in a series of public outreach programmes. The visit is part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen grassroots engagement, particularly in tribal regions, and assess the on-ground impact of development initiatives.

On Saturday evening, the Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Kukru and begin his programme with a visit to the Sunset Point at around 6:30 p.m. He will later participate in a ‘Ratri Chaupal’ organised at the Kukru Gram Panchayat, where he will interact with villagers and local representatives. During this open forum, he is likely to hear public grievances, suggestions, and feedback on various government schemes being implemented in the region.

The ‘Ratri Chaupal’ will also serve as a platform for highlighting the benefits of welfare programmes related to rural development, housing, women’s empowerment, self-help groups, agriculture, employment generation, social security, and livelihood support. Beneficiaries are expected to share their experiences and explain how government initiatives have impacted their lives at the grassroots level. The event will be followed by a cultural programme showcasing tribal traditions and folk art of the region.

He is also scheduled to interact with women associated with self-help groups to understand how government schemes have contributed to improving their income and financial independence. The programme further includes a tree plantation drive and an inspection of coffee cultivation initiatives being promoted in the area as part of efforts toward environmental conservation and agricultural diversification.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister will meet local public representatives to discuss development priorities for the region. He will also join residents in listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address, ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The visit is expected to focus on both governance review and promoting tourism and sustainable development in Betul’s scenic hill region.
