Mohan Yadav to Release 39th Ladli Behna Yojana Instalment Today
Madhya Pradesh releases 39th Ladli Behna instalment with festival bonus.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the 39th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana on Wednesday, August 19, with more than 1.25 crore women expected to benefit. The instalment includes the regular monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 along with an additional Rs 250 as a special Rakshabandhan gift. The amount will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries during a programme organised in Maihar.
The government has described the Ladli Behna Yojana as a key initiative aimed at strengthening the economic position of women across Madhya Pradesh. The additional Rs 250 being provided for Rakshabandhan is intended to offer extra financial support during the festive period. Beneficiaries will receive the combined amount of Rs 1,750 without any intermediary, allowing the funds to reach their accounts directly.
The scheme was launched in June 2023 and has since completed more than three years of regular disbursements. The monthly assistance was increased by Rs 250 from November 2025, taking the support available to eligible women to Rs 1,500 per month. Before the latest transfer, the government had already released 38 instalments between June 2023 and July 2026.

The 39th instalment marks another scheduled transfer under the welfare programme and is expected to reach more than 1.25 crore beneficiaries across the state. The direct bank transfer mechanism is designed to provide financial assistance efficiently while reducing the scope for delays or intermediaries. The government has continued to highlight the scheme as an important measure for supporting women, particularly those belonging to economically weaker sections.
The decision to release the latest instalment from Maihar also highlights the administration's effort to take major welfare initiatives beyond the state capital. The Rakshabandhan-linked payment is expected to provide additional assistance to beneficiary families during the festival. By combining the regular monthly amount with the special payment, eligible women will receive Rs 1,750 in total for the August disbursement.
With the release of the 39th instalment, the Ladli Behna Yojana continues to remain one of Madhya Pradesh's prominent women-focused welfare programmes. The government has maintained that regular financial assistance can contribute to greater economic independence and household security for women. The latest transfer is therefore being positioned as both a continuation of the scheme's monthly support and a special festive measure for its beneficiaries.
