Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 127th episode of Mann Ki Baat, covering a wide range of themes from national unity and environmental sustainability to cultural revival and security achievements. The monthly radio programme, broadcast from New Delhi, highlighted grassroots innovations, indigenous heritage, and public participation in nation-building initiatives.   1. Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel: PM Modi paid homage to India’s first Home Minister ahead of his 150th birth anniversary, calling him a “great luminary” whose unparalleled efforts unified the nation. He emphasised Patel’s lasting legacy in ensuring India’s integrity and strength.
  2. Sustainable Practices and Tree Plantation: Modi urged citizens to adopt eco-friendly habits and actively participate in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. He praised local innovations like Ambikapur’s waste-to-wealth model in Chhattisgarh and Kapil Sharma’s lake rejuvenation work in Bengaluru.
  3. Chhath Puja Greetings: The Prime Minister extended warm wishes for Chhath Puja, describing it as a celebration of unity between culture, nature, and society. He encouraged global participation and offered special greetings to people of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Purvanchal, bowing to Chhathi Maiya.
  4. GST Bachat Utsav and Swadeshi Surge: Modi highlighted increased purchases of indigenous goods during the GST Bachat Utsav and expressed delight at the public’s positive response to his call for a 10% reduction in edible oil consumption.
  5. 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram: He celebrated the national song as a timeless expression of patriotism, saying its very name evokes deep emotions and reminds Indians of their duties toward Bharat Mata.
  6. Indigenous Dogs in BSF and CRPF: Modi expressed pride in the growing use of Indian dog breeds in security forces. He cited BSF-trained Mudhol Hound Riya’s first-place win at the All India Police Duty Meet and a CRPF dog’s successful explosive detection in Chhattisgarh.
  7. Rising Popularity of Sanskrit: The Prime Minister noted Sanskrit’s revival among youth through social media, commending creators like Bhai Yash Salunke, sisters Kamala and Janhavi, and platforms such as Sanskrit Chhatroham and Samashti.
  8. India’s Coffee Culture: Modi spotlighted the global rise of Koraput coffee from Odisha and the expansion of coffee cultivation in Northeast India, alongside traditional belts in Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
