Major Delhi Traffic Disruptions Alert: AI Summit Brings VVIP Road Closures Today
Delhi traffic curbs are active for the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam.
Traffic restrictions have been put in place across New Delhi on Wednesday due to the ongoing AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel in advance and strictly follow traffic advisories issued for the day. The special arrangements are aimed at ensuring smooth movement during high-level VVIP visits linked to the summit.
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, traffic diversions will be enforced in two time slots—from 7:30 am to 10 am and again between 5 pm and 9 pm. The measures coincide with expected movements of dignitaries between the venue, the airport, and key government areas. Officials have appealed to motorists to remain patient, maintain lane discipline, and cooperate with personnel deployed at major junctions.
The summit’s inaugural session is expected to feature prominent global leaders, including Emmanuel Macron and António Guterres, along with top figures from the technology and industry sectors. Due to the high-profile attendance, security and traffic arrangements have been significantly tightened across central parts of the capital.
