Madhya Pradesh Accident: 3 Family Members Killed After Car Rams Truck

Three family members died in a Rajgarh road crash.

Three members of a Rajasthan-based family were killed and two others injured after their speeding car rammed into a dumper truck in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred near Sarangpur town at around 5:30 am, when the family was travelling to Ujjain to visit the Mahakal Temple.

According to Sarangpur police station in-charge Rahul Raghuvanshi, seven members of the family from Dholpur in Rajasthan were travelling in the car when it crashed into a dumper parked on the roadside. The vehicle was reportedly stationed in front of an eatery near Mau along the Agra-Mumbai National Highway.

An elderly woman, her son and daughter-in-law died at the scene due to the impact. The deceased were identified as Soma Trivedi, 65, her son Ankur, 42, and his wife Archana, 40. Police personnel reached the accident site and initiated proceedings following the crash.

Two other passengers, including the car driver, sustained serious injuries in the collision. They were taken to Shajapur District Hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured passengers was not immediately detailed by authorities.

Two children travelling with the family, aged 10 and 14, were seated in the rear portion of the car and escaped without injuries. Police said the children were among the seven people who had left Dholpur for their planned visit to the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.

The bodies of the three deceased were taken to Sarangpur Civil Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the collision with the roadside dumper, while further details are awaited.
