LSG Leaders Seek Divine Blessings at Ram Janmabhoomi Ahead of IPL 2026

LSG’s Goenka and Pant visit Ram Janmabhoomi to seek blessings before IPL 2026 season begins.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka and team captain Rishabh Pant visited the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The visit, part of the team’s pre-season engagements, was aimed at seeking blessings before the high-profile tournament. Goenka, Pant, and select members of LSG management offered prayers at the temple, emphasizing the spiritual start to their campaign.

Speaking to ANI after the visit, Goenka said, “Offering prayers to Lord Ram is never enough, and with the IPL season about to begin, all the players offered prayers at the temple here… With Lord Ram’s blessings, everything falls into place.” LSG’s official social media handle also highlighted the visit, posting, “Dr. Sanjiv Goenka visits Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya along with captain Rishabh Pant and other members of the squad to receive blessings. JAI SHREE RAM.”

The visit comes amid preparations for the 2026 IPL, with Pant expressing optimism about the team’s pre-season training. Speaking to JioStar, Pant praised the addition of Bharat Arun as LSG’s new bowling coach. “The camp with the fast bowlers has been fantastic. Bharat Arun sir has come on board, and since he arrived, he has been adding a lot of value,” Pant said. He noted the coach’s experience and rapport with players as key factors in strengthening the squad’s bowling unit.

Pant added, “He brings that experience. The bowlers trust him and open up to him, which is exactly what you want from a bowling coach, adding value to the system. When we look back at last season, we felt we needed to add more to our bowling. He is definitely someone who can contribute a lot in that area, and I am really happy to have him.” His comments underline LSG’s focus on enhancing team performance ahead of the IPL 2026 campaign.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the first phase schedule for IPL 2026 on March 11. LSG, led by Pant, will begin their season against Delhi Capitals on April 1, followed by matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5, Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9, and Gujarat Titans on April 12. Defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will kick off the tournament with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

With spiritual blessings, new coaching expertise, and a carefully planned pre-season, LSG aims to start their IPL 2026 campaign on a confident note. Fans and cricket analysts alike will be watching closely as Pant and his squad seek to make a strong impact in the first phase of the season.
