Kumar Mangalam Birla Joins USISPF Board, Executive Committee
Aditya Birla Group leader to boost US-India ties.
Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group, has been appointed to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), the organization announced Friday. Birla, leading India’s largest greenfield investor in the US with over $15 billion across 15 states, aims to strengthen economic and strategic ties between the two nations. “USISPF’s work in fostering dialogue and trust has made a meaningful difference,” Birla said.
The Aditya Birla Group’s US subsidiary, Novelis, the world’s largest aluminum recycling company, drives advancements in US manufacturing. Its $4.1 billion investment in Bay Minette, Alabama, marks the largest industrial investment in the state’s history, establishing a cutting-edge aluminum rolling and recycling plant. USISPF Chairman John Chambers praised Birla’s appointment, noting his role will guide the organization toward new horizons. USISPF, a non-profit with offices in Washington, D.C., and New Delhi, represents global firms with a combined market value exceeding $10 trillion and over 6 million employees.
