KSEAB Releases Karnataka 2026 Board Exam Timetables for SSLC, PUC I & II

KSEAB releases the Karnataka 2026 exam schedule for SSLC, PUC I, and PUC II; students can check dates online.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) on Thursday released the official timetable for the 2026 SSLC (Class 10), PUC First Year (Class 11), and PUC Second Year (Class 12) board examinations, bringing clarity to over 22 lakh students across the state. The schedules, uploaded on the board’s portal kseab.karnataka.gov.in, mark a return to the pre-COVID single-exam format with no multiple-choice papers and strict adherence to the March-April window to align practicals and valuations before the peak summer heat.

SSLC examinations will run from March 20 to April 4, 2026, with morning sessions (9:30 am–12:45 pm) for core subjects. The calendar begins with First Language papers (Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, etc.) on March 20 and concludes with Science/Social Science options on April 4. PUC II—the crucial university admission decider—will be held from March 4 to March 24, starting with Kannada/Arabic at 10:15 am–1:30 pm and ending with Mathematics/Applied Mathematics. PUC I exams are slotted between March 27 and April 12, ensuring no overlap with the SSLC schedule.

Practical examinations for PUC I and II will be conducted from February 2 to February 18, 2026, at respective colleges under CCTV surveillance, while JTS (Junior Technical School) and NSQF subjects will have separate project/practical windows in January. KSEAB has introduced 15-minute extra reading time for all papers and warned of zero tolerance for malpractices, with flying squads and AI-enabled facial recognition at sensitive centers in Bengaluru, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi.

Students can download the PDF timetables directly from kseab.karnataka.gov.in or through the Karnataka One portal. The board has advised schools to complete portions by January 31 and conduct three preparatory exams between December 2025 and February 2026. With over 8.5 lakh SSLC and 7.2 lakh PUC candidates expected, the early release—four months ahead of schedule—aims to reduce anxiety and allow focused preparation for what remains Karnataka’s most high-stakes academic milestone.
