Khan Sir Gets Anticipatory Bail Relief From Patna Court in Coaching Vandalism FIR

A court in Patna has granted interim protection from arrest to popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir in connection with a case related to vandalism and firing at his coaching institute. The relief came after Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, approached the court seeking anticipatory bail following his inclusion in a First Information Report (FIR) linked to the incident at the Khan Global Studies Institute.

The court's decision means that Khan Sir cannot be arrested until the next hearing in the matter. His lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mahuar, said the educator would fully cooperate with the ongoing police investigation and argued that the FIR had been registered as part of a conspiracy aimed at damaging his reputation. The legal development provides temporary relief to one of India's most prominent coaching educators, whose online and offline teaching platforms attract millions of students.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on the night of June 2, when a group of around 15 to 20 individuals allegedly vandalized the coaching institute's premises. According to police, the group tore down posters and pelted stones at the building, causing damage to the property. CCTV footage from the scene reportedly captured the acts of vandalism, which subsequently triggered a police investigation.

Authorities later detained two security guards employed at the coaching center after videos emerged showing gunfire during the disturbance. During questioning, the guards allegedly told investigators that they fired two rounds each from their licensed weapons. 315-bore rifles after receiving instructions to do so. Police further claimed that Khan Sir was present at the location when the incident took place, leading investigators to include him and two others in the FIR.

Based on the findings of the preliminary investigation, police invoked provisions related to attempted murder and the Arms Act. The case has drawn significant public attention because of Khan Sir's popularity as an educator and social media personality. Investigators continue to examine CCTV footage, witness statements, and other evidence to determine the sequence of events and individual responsibilities.

The controversy has also highlighted an ongoing rivalry between coaching institutes in Patna. Following the attack, Khan Sir alleged that individuals associated with a rival coaching center were behind the vandalism. Members of the rival institute, however, rejected the accusation and instead alleged that the incident had been staged. With the investigation continuing and the court yet to hear the anticipatory bail plea in full, the case remains under close scrutiny.
