Karnataka Wife Uncovers Husband’s Dark Web of Secret Recordings and Coercion
Puttenahalli woman accuses spouse of hidden filming, blackmail, and exploitation.
In a deeply disturbing case from Puttenahalli, Karnataka, a woman has lodged a formal police complaint against her husband, Syed Inamul Haq, and his family, alleging severe harassment, blackmail, and exploitation. The accusations, detailed in a case registered with local authorities, paint a grim picture of marital abuse and coercion.
According to the complainant, she married Haq in December 2024, following a two-month engagement. The wedding arrangements included substantial gifts, such as 340 grams of gold ornaments and a Yamaha bike. However, shortly after the marriage, the woman discovered that Haq was already married, making her his second wife. She further alleges that he bragged about having relationships with 19 other women.
The complaint reveals chilling details of Haq’s alleged misconduct, including installing a hidden camera in their bedroom to record private moments without her consent. These recordings were reportedly shared with his associates abroad. Haq is also accused of pressuring his wife to engage in physical relationships with his international contacts, threatening to leak the private videos on social media when she resisted.

The woman further claims she endured repeated physical and mental harassment from Haq, both in public spaces, such as hotels, and at her parents’ home. In one instance, he allegedly demanded she sell her gold jewelry to fund the purchase of a flat, physically assaulting her when she refused. The complainant also named Haq’s family members in the case, alleging that his sister humiliated her during a family event in February, while his brother-in-law behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner toward her.
The situation escalated on September 21, when Haq allegedly assaulted the complainant during an argument and subsequently fled the residence. The police have registered a case against Haq and his family members for harassment, blackmail, and related charges. Authorities report that Haq, the primary accused, is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to locate him.
This harrowing case underscores the urgent need for stronger protections against domestic abuse and exploitation. The complainant is receiving support as the investigation continues, with police urging anyone with information on Haq’s whereabouts to come forward. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, prompting renewed calls for awareness and action to address marital coercion and abuse.
