Karnataka Government Launches Adidvara Platform For Skilling And Jobs For PwDs
Karnataka unveils AI-driven Adidvara platform connecting PwDs with jobs, skilling and internships statewide.
The Karnataka government on Thursday launched the ‘Adidvara’ app, an inclusive employment and skilling platform designed to support persons with disabilities (PwDs), marking a significant step toward accessible digital employment services in the state. The initiative was unveiled at a programme held at Vikasa Soudha in partnership with the AssisTech Foundation.
The platform was launched by Karnataka Minister for Skill Development and Medical Education Sharan Prakash Patil, who described the initiative as a first-of-its-kind system built with accessibility at its core. He said persons with disabilities are equally talented and should receive fair opportunities in recruitment processes, urging companies to adopt inclusive hiring practices.
The ‘Adidvara’ app is designed to connect PwDs with employment opportunities, internships, and skilling and upskilling programmes. It also allows employers to post inclusive job roles and access a wider talent pool. The platform uses an AI-powered matching system that aligns candidates’ skills, interests, and accessibility needs with suitable job openings, aiming to improve both employability and workplace inclusion.

During the launch event, the minister also announced an exclusive job fair for PwDs scheduled for August 2026 at Kanteerava Stadium. The event will be organised as a large-scale employment and skilling festival, bringing together job seekers, employers, training organisations, and assistive technology startups. Officials said more than 3,000 candidates representing all 21 categories of disability are expected to participate.
The upcoming job fair will feature direct recruitment drives, career counselling sessions, skill development awareness programmes, and technology showcases. Companies from sectors such as IT, banking, financial services, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and other services are expected to take part, creating diverse employment opportunities for participants.
Officials present at the launch included MLC Sudham Das and AssisTech Foundation CEO Prateek Madhav. The Karnataka government said the initiative reflects its broader commitment to building an inclusive workforce ecosystem by combining technology, skill development, and employer engagement to improve access to meaningful employment for persons with disabilities.
