Karan Johar Attends London Screening of Homebound Hosted by Gurinder Chadha

Filmmaker Karan Johar joined a special screening of his latest production, the critically acclaimed drama Homebound, in London on Tuesday evening, at an event hosted by acclaimed British director Gurinder Chadha.

The intimate gathering, part of the film’s international promotional campaign, was attended by Homebound’s lead actors Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa alongside members of the UK film industry and diaspora audience. Johar, who heads Dharma Productions, described the evening as “filled with the warmest love, familiar and new faces, and a whole lot of support” in a social media post accompanied by photographs from the venue.

Taking to Instagram, the producer-director expressed heartfelt gratitude to Gurinder Chadha—known globally for Bend It Like Beckham and Blinded by the Light—for organizing the screening. “A special shoutout to @gurinder.chadha, who so graciously hosted this screening for us,” Johar wrote, underscoring the cross-cultural camaraderie between two of Indian cinema’s most prominent global voices.

The London event follows a similar screening Johar attended earlier this month in Los Angeles, signalling strong international interest in Homebound ahead of its wider release. With Chadha’s endorsement and growing overseas buzz, the film continues to build momentum as one of the most anticipated Indian titles of the season.
