The footage shows the man, dressed in a white T-shirt and black shorts, arguing with the woman before removing his slippers and striking her repeatedly. The woman attempts to shield herself during the assault, while the man continues the attack. Another woman eventually intervenes and manages to stop him, after which people begin gathering at the spot.
The accused is also seen kicking the woman after the initial assault, according to the video. The incident reportedly took place outside a temple where the woman regularly sits to seek alms. The circumstances surrounding the confrontation have drawn attention after the footage surfaced online, with the police now investigating the events that preceded the assault.

According to information cited in reports, the dispute began after some children allegedly interfered with the man's motorcycle. Kapurthala DSP Sheetal Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused. Police are currently searching for the man and investigating the allegations surrounding the incident. Authorities are also expected to examine the available footage and other information to establish the sequence of events and determine the circumstances leading to the assault.
