Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2025: Pilgrimage to the Abode of Shiva Begins!
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the launch of the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2025, a sacred pilgrimage revered by millions.
Scheduled from June to August 2025, this year’s yatra will see 15 batches of devotees embark on a spiritual journey to the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Five batches, each with 50 yatris, will traverse through Uttarakhand via the Lipulekh Pass, while ten batches of 50 yatris each will travel through Sikkim via the Nathu La Pass.
Applications are now open on the official website, kmy.gov.in, where aspiring pilgrims can register. The selection process, fully computerized since 2015, ensures fairness through a random, gender-balanced draw, eliminating the need for letters or faxes.
