#JUSTIN: Two Killed, One Injured In Punjab Shooting; Police Probe Underway

Two people were shot dead and another was injured in a firing incident in Punjab’s Amritsar district, police said on Tuesday, setting off a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred in a residential locality where unidentified assailants opened fire on the victims at close range. Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots in quick succession, which led to panic among residents. Local authorities were alerted immediately, and police teams rushed to the scene soon after receiving the information.

Officials confirmed that two individuals died on the spot after sustaining critical bullet injuries. A third person, who was also caught in the firing, was seriously injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. While doctors have begun treatment, the condition of the injured individual has not yet been officially disclosed.

Senior police officers, along with forensic experts, inspected the crime scene and began collecting evidence to piece together the sequence of events.
