#JUSTIN: Noida High-Rise Evacuated After Fire Erupts In 12th-Floor Apartment
Noida high-rise evacuated after fire breaks out in flat.
A fire broke out in a high-rise residential tower in Noida’s Sector 75 on Friday morning, triggering panic among residents and forcing a complete evacuation of the building as thick smoke and flames rapidly spread through the structure. The incident occurred at Ivy County Society, where a blaze erupted in a flat located on the 12th floor of a 28-storey tower around 8 am. According to initial reports, the fire started suddenly inside the apartment and quickly intensified, with flames and heavy black smoke visible from a considerable distance, alarming residents in the surrounding area.
As smoke began to spread through parts of the building, residents rushed to evacuate while alerting emergency services. The situation escalated quickly, prompting authorities to order a full evacuation of the high-rise as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all occupants. Families from multiple floors were seen moving out of the building in urgency as fire alarms rang out and panic spread through the complex.
Fire and emergency response teams arrived shortly after the alert was raised. Multiple fire tenders were deployed to the site, and firefighters began efforts to contain the blaze on the 12th floor while simultaneously ensuring that the fire did not spread to adjacent flats or upper levels of the tower. The operation was complicated by the height of the building and the dense smoke conditions inside the affected section.

Visuals from the scene showed thick plumes of black smoke rising from the high-rise, with firefighters working both inside and outside the building to bring the situation under control. The evacuation process was carried out in coordination with local authorities, who restricted access to the tower and its immediate surroundings to facilitate emergency operations.
While the fire was eventually brought under control after sustained efforts, officials continued cooling operations to prevent any possibility of re-ignition. Emergency teams also conducted preliminary checks across multiple floors to ensure that no residents were trapped inside and that the building was structurally safe for re-entry. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been officially confirmed. However, investigators are expected to examine possible electrical faults, appliance malfunction, or other technical reasons once the cooling process is complete.
A detailed forensic assessment is likely to follow as part of standard fire investigation procedures in high-rise incidents. Authorities have not reported any fatalities or major injuries at the time of reporting, though a few residents were treated for minor smoke inhalation and stress-related symptoms on site. Medical teams were present at the location to provide immediate assistance where required. Officials have assured residents that a thorough safety inspection will be conducted before allowing anyone to return to the building.
Structural integrity checks, along with a review of fire safety systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and emergency exits, are expected to form part of the post-incident assessment. The incident has once again raised concerns over fire preparedness in high-rise residential societies, particularly in rapidly expanding urban areas like Noida, where densely populated towers depend heavily on functioning safety infrastructure and quick emergency response mechanisms.
