It's Never Too Late To Start! PM Modi's Fitness Call To the Nation

PM Modi’s Yoga Call: It’s Never Too Late To Start

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to embrace yoga during his 120th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address on Sunday, emphasizing its timeless value for health and well-being. “If you haven’t included yoga in your life yet, do it now—it’s not too late,” he said, speaking to the country.

Highlighting its global appeal, Modi praised initiatives like the Fit India Carnival and International Yoga Day for inspiring not just Indians but the world.

Modi revealed that Yoga Day 2025 will carry the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ underscoring its role in fostering global wellness. “Yoga and Ayurveda are gaining curiosity worldwide as excellent mediums for health,” he noted, citing Chile’s growing adoption of Ayurveda, where 9,000 people joined related events last year alone.

He lauded such efforts, crediting local teams for translating knowledge into Spanish.

Stressing yoga’s accessibility, Modi reiterated its low-cost, high-impact benefits—a point he’s echoed since 2021, when he suggested just 50-60 minutes daily can transform lives. Amid a countdown to International Yoga Day, he also celebrated the Khelo India Para Games athletes for their grit, tying fitness to national pride.

With no rigid timeline imposed, Modi’s message was clear: start yoga anytime, and reap its rewards for a healthier life.
