Avishag Hefer, Deputy Consul General of Israel in Mumbai, was seen handing out flags to passengers at the historic railway station as part of the celebrations marking India's Independence Day.
The initiative was shared on the official X profile dedicated to Israel in Mumbai. According to the post, Hefer distributed the Indian national flag as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and conveyed wishes to India on its 80th Independence Day. The post described the occasion as a celebration of freedom, friendship and the spirit of India.
In the footage, Hefer can be seen carrying several Tricolours while walking through the busy railway station and offering them to commuters. Passengers accepted the flags with smiles, while one child was seen saluting after receiving the national flag.
