Infosys Rocked By Fresh Scandal! Techie Secretly Filmed 30 Women in Bengaluru Campus Restroom

Techie’s Secret Filming Scandal Rocks Infosys: Over 30 Women Targeted in Bengaluru Campus Horror

A chilling incident has shaken Infosys’ Bengaluru campus, where a 28-year-old employee, Swapnil Nagesh Mali from Andhra Pradesh, was arrested on July 1 for allegedly recording videos of over 30 women in a company restroom.

The disturbing case unraveled on June 30 when a female employee spotted a reflection in the washroom and realized someone was filming her from the adjacent cubicle. Initially confused, she quickly identified Mali standing on the commode, using his mobile phone to capture footage.

Her swift alarm alerted colleagues, who apprehended Mali as he attempted to flee after offering a hurried apology. During an initial probe by Infosys’ HR team, a video of the complainant was found on Mali’s phone, along with at least 30 other recordings of different female employees. A screenshot was secured before the video was deleted, but no immediate legal action was taken by the company.

The complainant, after consulting her husband, lodged a formal police complaint on July 1, leading to Mali’s arrest under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act. Questions have emerged about Infosys’ handling of the situation, with allegations that the company initially tried to resolve the matter internally by accepting Mali’s apology.

The Electronics City Police are now investigating whether Infosys delayed reporting the incident, potentially compromising timely justice. This scandal has sparked outrage, raising serious concerns about workplace safety and corporate accountability at one of India’s leading tech giants.
