The India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2026 has entered its final stage for application corrections, with the window closing today, February 19, 2026. A total of 28,636 vacancies are being filled across roles such as Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). Candidates can make amendments via the official portal, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, until 5 p.m. today.
The correction facility is only available to applicants who have fully submitted their applications, including any required fees, during the registration period. Applicants are advised to ensure all details are accurate, as no further opportunities for edits will be provided once the window shuts.
Eligible fields for corrections include full name, date of birth, 10th-grade academic credentials, and preference for postal region or branch. Candidates must log into their account, edit the necessary details, and save the revised application. Officials have emphasized meticulous verification to avoid rejection due to incorrect information.

The recruitment process began with an announcement on January 31, 2026, with registrations running from January 31 to February 14, 2026. The initial application intake was from February 2 to 16, while the correction period opened on February 18. The results announcement date is yet to be declared.
Application fees are set at Rs 100 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, female, PH, and PWD candidates are exempted. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2026, with age relaxations per government norms. Only candidates who have completed Class 10 are eligible for the recruitment.
