IIM Bangalore Announces Short And Long Duration Executive Education Programmes

IIM Bangalore's executive programmes help working professionals build management and leadership skills.

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) offers a range of executive education programmes for working professionals looking to strengthen their management, leadership, technology and sector-specific skills while continuing their careers. The institute provides programmes ranging from short courses lasting a few days to part-time certification programmes extending from two to 12 months. It also conducts customised programmes designed around the specific learning and organisational requirements of companies and other institutions.

IIM Bangalore's Short Duration Programmes (SDPs) generally run for two to six days and cover a broad range of subjects. These include strategy, leadership, innovation, data analytics, entrepreneurship, marketing, technology and operations. The institute says these programmes are intended for participants seeking new insights and approaches that can help their organisations, businesses or ventures. The short format allows working professionals to gain specialised knowledge without committing to a lengthy academic programme.

The institute's long-duration programmes are part-time certification courses designed primarily for working executives. Running for two to 12 months, these programmes cover general management and specialised areas relevant to sectors such as aerospace and aviation, healthcare, information technology, public policy, media and entertainment. The courses also address emerging professional requirements, including digital transformation, business analytics, leadership for senior management, entrepreneurship and family business management.

Several long-duration programmes are also scheduled to begin in the coming months. The Leadership Development Programme To Build Resilient starts on August 20 and runs for four months, while the Programme on Capital Markets & Risk Management begins on August 21 and has a 10-month duration. The Management Programme for Entrepreneurs & Family Businesses is scheduled to start on September 15 for six months, followed by the General Management Programme for Aerospace and Aviation Executives on September 16, with a duration of 10 months.

In addition to its standard executive programmes, IIM Bangalore offers customised learning solutions for organisations seeking to develop specific capabilities and address business challenges. These programmes can be structured as short- or long-duration initiatives depending on organisational requirements. Working professionals interested in the courses are advised to check IIM Bangalore's official website for current eligibility requirements, schedules, admission procedures, fees and programme-specific details before applying.
