Heartfelt Tribute: PM Modi Remembers Ajit Pawar's Service to the Poor

PM Modi calls Ajit Pawar's death shocking and praises his grassroots connection and work for the poor.

Political leaders across the country have expressed deep shock and grief following the untimely demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. His passing has been described as a huge loss for Maharashtra and the nation’s political landscape.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Pawar as a leader with a strong grassroots connection, saying, “His understanding of administrative matters and passion for empowering the poor and downtrodden were noteworthy. His untimely demise is very shocking and tragic. We have lost a leader who served the people with dedication.”

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other central leaders also expressed their condolences. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “We are deeply saddened by the news of Ajit Pawar’s passing. We stand with his family and party members during this hour and pray for strength and peace for them.”

Former Maharashtra minister CR Paatil called Pawar’s passing “a huge loss for the state”, adding that his absence would inevitably change the political dynamics in Maharashtra. Several regional leaders, including members of the NCP, BJP, and Congress, paid tribute, highlighting Pawar’s ability to bridge communities and his decades-long contribution to state politics.

Leaders and citizens alike have mourned his death, with tributes pouring in across social media platforms, reflecting on his decades-long dedication to public service, political acumen, and influence in shaping Maharashtra’s governance.
