Haryana CM Inaugurates 325 Amrit Sarovars, Flags Off 70 Ambulances

State expands rural infrastructure and emergency healthcare services.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday dedicated 325 Amrit Sarovars and 70 advanced life support ambulances to the public, while also inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹337 crore in Naraingarh, located in Ambala district. The event, held in the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency, marked a significant push toward infrastructure and public service development in the region.

The projects inaugurated include seven major healthcare initiatives worth ₹114 crore, aimed at strengthening medical infrastructure in the state. Alongside this, 325 Amrit Sarovars constructed at a cost of ₹223 crore were also dedicated. Officials said these water bodies are intended to support groundwater recharge and improve rural water conservation efforts, contributing to long-term environmental sustainability in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saini described the occasion as a milestone not only for Naraingarh but for Haryana as a whole. He said the development initiatives reflect the government’s broader vision of building a “healthy, prosperous and developed Haryana.” He also extended greetings on National Doctors’ Day, acknowledging the contributions of healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, ASHA workers and paramedical staff.

He also inaugurated a 50-bed hospital block built at nearly ₹32 crore, increasing the capacity of the Civil Hospital, and a Block Public Health Unit aimed at improving local healthcare delivery.

Saini also outlined various welfare and agricultural initiatives of the state government, including financial assistance schemes for women, crop procurement at minimum support price, and compensation for farmers affected by crop losses. He said that significant funds have been directly transferred to farmers and beneficiaries through different schemes over the past years, while also highlighting stricter laws introduced to curb the sale of fake agricultural inputs.

The Chief Minister further noted that Haryana is developing multiple Industrial Model Townships, including one in Ambala-Naraingarh, as part of its industrial expansion strategy. He said the government remains focused on balanced regional development, combining infrastructure growth, welfare measures, and improved public services to drive overall progress in the state.
